This period of the year is traditionally a time to look back. It is time to take a step back and take stock. And to face the coming year filled with courage and good resolutions.
2018 was an exciting year for me. As you are probably aware, I took over all the shares of CPM Belgium & Krea Sales with the intention of expanding our vision as experts in sales under the name of Mavenly. With this in mind, we made tremendous progress last months. We concluded strategic partnerships and invested heavily in super modern and future-proof systems. Technological aids are nowadays absolutely indispensable to provide sellers with data-driven insights. They provide the sales department with direction and support to approach potential buyers at the right moment and with the right offer. We continue to monitor developments to remain your best in class partner for anything that has to do with field sales management, sales enablement and field sales outsourcing.
However, 2019 will also be the year to concentrate on hospitality. Sales is still a people-oriented business. The human aspect will, in times of technological feats, help to determine success. In times of rapid changes, we once again yearn for genuine but rare human contact. Someone who listens, who thinks along with us and shows flexibility. A simple greeting. It often only needs a minor effort vis-a-vis our customers to make a world of difference – whether it will be a deal or no deal. Apart from the partnerships that we maintain in technological terms with SalesForce.com, Showpad, Mapanything and Qlik, we started a collaboration with the School For Butlers (https://schoolforbutlers.com) for the hospitality section.
However, our own staff deserves the same attention. I feel proud when I see that last year we were able to recruit varied, young talents. Despite a war on talent, we manage to attract very competent people. Because we are a people-oriented company and because we have a strong vision in which we strongly believe. Just like our customers and, pleasing to note, also the candidates.
Enthusiastic, talented sales people who can rely on data-driven insights but who are also aware of the importance of the human touch. This gives me a tremendous amount of energy to face the new year.
